The Dolli occupies a listed mansion designed by Andreas Kriezis in the 1920s. Once a fabric emporium, the building was carefully restored by Grecotel and opened as a hotel in 2023. Its arches, tall windows and preserved ceiling motifs retain the character of an elegant private residence. Inside, original works by artists including Pablo Picasso and Jean Cocteau sit alongside antiquities and contemporary design. The hotel’s 46 rooms, suites and apartments extend this intimate, residential atmosphere, while Le Salon and Le Bar Secret offer quieter spaces to pause away from the bustle of the historic centre. The rooftop is its defining viewpoint: an infinity pool reflects the Acropolis, and Dolli’s rooftop restaurant looks towards the Parthenon and the rooftops of Plaka. From Mitropoleos Street, the surrounding lanes lead into some of Athens’ most atmospheric neighbourhoods.
